Rachel is most at home puttering in her garden. When she’s not designing and maintaining landscapes, she can be found writing contracts and assisting the brokers at Christie’s during the off-garden season. Real estate was the next step after experience in rural estate management and complements her seasonal landscape business. She started as an assistant to several brokers before gaining her license in 2017 and joining the team at Christie’s in 2019.
She is a graduate of Bennington College and a holds a master’s from the Conway School of Landscape Design, MA. Rachel grew up in Bethesda MD and moved to Denver after college, but quickly left the city behind to explore wilder places. From to the Tetons and the Carson to the arid Sonoran, Rachel fell in love with the landscapes of the West. She settled in the Roaring Fork Valley because of the red rocks, the high desert flora, and the rugged riparian corridors. She lives on the Crystal River near Carbondale and is an advocate for efficient water use and conservation. Rachel brings her artistic nature and keen eye for design and detail to an in-depth knowledge of the places and properties of the Roaring Fork, Crystal, and Fryingpan valleys.
